About This Service

What the work involves.

Interior renovations work best when one trade owns the finish. Because JWS Home Improvement handles drywall, painting, trim, and custom woodwork, an interior update can move from rough to finished without the gaps that appear when multiple trades hand off. Jake coordinates the work and keeps the finish consistent.

Project considerations

Scope, sequencing, and living through the work all shape a renovation. We talk through what's included, what order things happen in, and how to keep the home livable. Larger renovations may involve other trades, and we coordinate those handoffs clearly.

Preparation & planning

A renovation starts with a clear plan. We discuss the scope, protect the areas around the work, and address any underlying issues — moisture, framing, or damaged drywall — before finishes go on. Good sequencing is what keeps a renovation on schedule.

Pricing: Every project is quoted individually based on its scope, size, materials, and condition. We don't use fixed rates — request an estimate and we'll provide a quote for your specific project.

Service FAQs

Questions about interior renovations.

Five common questions about this service. For more, see the full FAQ page.

Full FAQ page
What interior renovations do you take on?+

Room refreshes, full repaints, drywall replacement, trim and millwork updates, feature walls, and finish work. We focus on the drywall, paint, and woodwork scope and coordinate with other trades where a project needs them.

Do you manage the whole renovation or just the finishing?+

We own the drywall, paint, and finish-woodwork scope end to end. For projects that need plumbing, electrical, or framing beyond our scope, we coordinate clearly with those trades so the finish comes together.

Can I live in the home during the renovation?+

Usually yes, working room by room. We contain dust, protect areas, and sequence the work around your household. For larger full-home renovations we can discuss phasing so part of the home stays usable.

How long does an interior renovation take?+

It depends entirely on scope. A single-room refresh may take days; a multi-room renovation with drywall, paint, and trim takes longer. We give a realistic timeline after seeing the space and scope.

Do you provide an estimate before starting?+

Yes. We discuss the scope, view the space, and provide an estimate based on the work involved. Pricing reflects the specific project, so we quote rather than use fixed rates.
